Our Beliefs

Rooted in Lutheran and Reformed traditions and driven by the Great Commission

Our Message

Our Beliefs

  •  We preserve our Lutheran and Reformed traditional heritage through continued affiliation with the United Church of Christ and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
  • We believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior and acknowledge the Gospel as the power of God for the salvation of all who believe.
  • We believe that Jesus Christ is the Word of God incarnate, through whom everything was made and through whose life, death, and resurrection God fashions a new creation.
  • We believe that the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God and the authoritative source and norm of its proclamation, faith, and life.
  • We recognize two sacraments: Baptism and the Lord's Supper or Holy Communion.
  • We accept as true declarations of faith the Apostle's Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed.
  • We believe the Gospel, recorded in the Holy Scriptures and confessed in the ecumenical creeds, Lutheran confessional writings, and Reformed tradition writings foundational to the United Church of Christ, as the power of God to create and sustain the Church for God's mission in the world.
