Since 1761, we have been worshipping God and proclaiming his love in our words and actions.  We worship together.  Serve our community together.  Embody a commitment to nurture one another in the Christian faith.

Equally affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and the United Church of Christ.    

New Bethel is equally connected to and affirms both the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and the United Church of Christ and is therefore affiliated with the Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod and the Penn Northeast Conference.

Our Mission

Our aim is to share the gospel of Jesus, celebrate the sacraments, build up believers to maturity of faith who will value prayer, praise, the sharing of their faith and service.

Our Roots

From humble roots dating back to 1761 in the French and Indian War era, New Bethel has served the rural Kempton area with deep traditions of the Lutheran and German Reformed denominations.

Our Facilities

Beautiful country church located near Hawk Mountain

The church building is nestled near Hawk Mountain.  Our historic sanctuary incorporates modern technology to aid in worship. There is plenty of level parking to accommodate visitors.  Our first floor offers a coffee fellowship area and several Sunday school classrooms.  Worship incorporates pipe organ and piano.  A chair lift is installed to offer assistance to those in need.
